Sindh government announces public holiday on Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s Urs

سندھ حکومت نے 19 فروری کو حضرت لعل شہباز قلندر کے عرس پر عام تعطیل کا اعلان کر دیا۔
نوٹیفکیشن میں بتایا گیا ہے کہ عام تعطیل کا اعلان 19 فروری کو حضرت لعل شہباز قلندر کے عرس پر کیا گیا ہے، 19 فروری کو تمام سرکاری اور نیم سرکاری دفاتر بند رہیں گے۔
حضرت لعل شہباز قلندر کا 777 واں عرس عقیدت و احترام کے ساتھ منایا جائے گا، لعل شہباز قلندر کا سالانہ عرس 17 فروری سے شروع ہو گا۔
عرس میں شرکت کے لیے زائرین کی آمد کا سلسلہ کئی دن پہلے ہی شروع ہو گیا تھا، زائرین میں مرد، عورت، بوڑھے، بچے سبھی شامل ہیں جنہوں نے دھمال ڈالتے ہوئے مزار کا رخ کیا۔
عرس کے موقع پر سکیورٹی کے سخت انتظامات کیے گئے ہیں جن کی وجہ سے مزار میں داخلے کے لیے لوگوں کی طویل قطاریں دکھائی دیتی ہیں، لعل شہباز کے مزار پر ہر شام ڈھول کی تھاپ پر دھمال ڈالی جاتی ہے جو مولانا رومی کے درویشوں کی یاد دلاتی ہے۔

The notification states that a public holiday has been declared on February 19 on the occasion of the Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, all government and semi-government offices will remain closed on February 19.
The 777th Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar will be celebrated with devotion and respect, the annual Urs of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar will begin from February 17.
The arrival of pilgrims to participate in the Urs had started several days ago, the pilgrims include men, women, old people, children, all of whom have made their way to the shrine while performing Dhamaal.
Strict security arrangements have been made on the occasion of the Urs, due to which long queues of people are seen entering the shrine. Dhamaal is performed at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz every evening to the beat of drums, which reminds us of the dervishes of Maulana Rumi.
