Even after 1 decade of APS Peshawar tragedy, the wounds are still fresh

16 دسمبر سال 2014 کو امن اور تعلیم کے دشمنوں نے آرمی پبلک سکول پر حملہ کیا، دہشت گرد سکول کے عقبی راستے سے صبح 10 بجے کے قریب عمارت میں داخل ہوئے، اس وقت آٹھویں ،نویں اور دسویں جماعت کے طالب علم آڈیٹوریم میں تربیت میں مشغول تھے۔
دہشت گردوں نے ہال میں داخل ہوتے ہی ہر طرف اندھا دھند فائرنگ شروع کردی اور اے پی ایس کی دیواروں کو خون سے رنگ دیا، دہشتگردوں کی فائرنگ سے پرنسپل ،اساتذہ ،طلبہ اور دیگر عملے سمیت 140 سے زائد افراد شہید ہوئے۔
سکیورٹی فورسز کےجوانوں نے بھرپورکارروائی کرتے ہوئے دہشت گردوں کو ان کے انجام تک پہنچایا، سانحہ اے پی ایس نے دہشتگردی کے خلاف جنگ میں نئی روح پھونکی، نیشنل ایکشن پلان تشکیل دیا گیا اور قبائلی علاقوں سے دہشتگردی کا خاتمہ ممکن ہوا۔
بعدازاں اے پی ایس حملے میں ملوث 6 دہشتگردوں کو سکیورٹی فورسز نے گرفتار کیا جنہیں ملٹری کورٹس نے موت کی سزائیں بھی سنائی تھیں۔سانحہ آرمی پبلک سکول کو تو دس سال بیت گئے لیکن اس افسوسناک واقعہ کی یادیں آج بھی دلوں میں زندہ ہیں۔

The soldiers of the security forces brought the terrorists to their end by taking vigorous action, the APS tragedy breathed new life into the war against terrorism, the National Action Plan was formed and the eradication of terrorism from the tribal areas was possible.
Later, 6 terrorists involved in the APS attack were arrested by the security forces who were sentenced to death by the military courts. Ten years have passed since the tragedy of Army Public School, but the memories of this sad incident are still alive in our hearts.
