Change members or increase tax net but achieve target: Prime Minister’s directive to Chairman FBR

آمدن میں شارٹ فال ہونے سے وزیر اعظم شہباز شریف ایف بی آر کی کارکردگی سے نالاں ہیں اور چیئرمین ایف بی آر کو مرضی کی ٹیم مقرر کرنے کا گرین سگنل دے دیا گیا ہے۔ چیئرمین ایف بی آر کی جانب سے بورڈ ممبران تبدیل کیے جانے کا امکان ہے، ان لینڈ ریونیو آپریشنز، ممبر کسٹم آپریشنز، ممبر کسٹم پالیسی ونگ و دیگر کی تبدیلی کے امکانات دکھائی دے رہے ہیں۔
ممبر کسٹم آپریشنز کو تبدیل کر دیا گیا ہے، اشہد جواد کی جگہ جنید جلیل کو تعینات کیا گیا ہے۔ تقریباً 100 ارب روپے ریونیو شارٹ فال کی رپورٹ وزیراعظم کو پیش کی گئی ہے۔
وزیراعظم شہباز شریف نے چیئرمین ایف بی آر کو سخت ہدایات کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ چاہے کچھ کریں آئندہ ماہ آمدن میں شارٹ فال نظر نہ آئے، ممبر بدلیں یا ٹیکس نیٹ بڑھائیں مگر ہدف حاصل کریں۔
وزیر اعظم کی ہدایت کے بعد چیئرمین اپنی ٹیم تیار کرنے میں مصروف ہیں، ممبر ان لینڈ ریونیو آپریشنز میر بادشاہ خان وزیر کو بھی تبدیل کیے جانے کا امکان ہے، ممبر کسٹم پالیسی ثریا احمد بٹ اور ممبر پی آر ایف بی آر کو بھی تبدیل کیا جا سکتا ہے۔ ایف بی آر کے ممبر کسٹمز پالیسی اور ممبر پی آر دو ماہ بعد دسمبر میں ریٹائر ہو رہے ہیں، رواں ماہ ستمبر کے دوران تقریباً 1220 ارب روپے کا ریونیو ہدف حاصل کرنا ہو گا۔
