Under Pakistan Association Uganda, Pakistan’s Independence Day was celebrated in Kampala Parents School.

لاہور (رؤف ساجد)پاکستان ایسوسی ایشن یوگنڈا کے زیراہتمام یوم أزادی کا جشن پورے جوش وخروش سے کمپالا پیرنٹس سکول کے ھال میں منایاگیا ۔ اس موقع پرہال کو پاکستان کے خوبصورت سبز ہلالی پرچموں اور جھنڈیوں سے آراستہ کیاگیاتھا۔ جشن أزادی کی اس پر وقار تقریب کے مہمان خصوصی جناب یوگنڈا کے وزیر خارجہ ابوبکر اڈونگ تھے جبکہ برادر اسلامی ممالک کے سفیروں نے بھی تقریب میں شرکت کی۔یوگنڈا میں ایران کے سفیر ماجد سفار ‘جمہوریہ ترکی کی سفیر مسز ایسما ۔جمہوریہ الجزائر کے سفیر ۔ نائجیریا کے سفیر مسٹر غزالی ۔اقوام متحدہ کے سفارت کار مسٹر ساحر اسلم اور ریاست علی خان ۔ أسٹرییلاکے اعزازی قونصل مسٹر پیٹرک اور یوگنڈا کی وزیر صنعت و سرمایہ کاری مسز انیتا نے بھی تقریب میں شرکت کی ۔ پاکستان ایسوسی ایشن یوگنڈا کے تمام عہدیداران اور ممبران کیساتھ ساتھ سابق چیرمین پاکستان یوگنڈا ایسوسی ایشن عمران ندیم، خالد حسین ساقی اور موجودہ صدر ظفر حسین بھی اس موقعہ پر موجود تھے۔. تقریب کا أغاز تلاوت کلام پاک سے ہوا۔اسکے بعد دونوں ممالک کے قومی ترانے بجائے گئے۔ بعد ازاں پاکستانی بچوں ارحام پاشا ۔راج مہیشوری اوربکینیا سے أئی طالب علم راھنما ثمینہ. اسلم نے بھی اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کیا۔
اس دوران اسٹیج پر پاکستانی بچوں اور بچیوں کی طرف سے مختلف فلوٹ اور ثقافتی رقص پیش کئے گئے ۔ یوگنڈا کے مقامی گروپ نے بھی پاکستانیوں کی خوشی میں شرکت کرتے ہوئے افریقی رقص پیش کیا۔
تقریب کے شرکاء کے لئے وسیع پیمانے پر ظہرانے کا اہتمام کیا گیا تھا تقریبا دو ہزار کے قریب پاکستانی شہریوں نے ظہرانے میں شرکت کی ۔
ہال کے باہر مختلف لوگوں کی طرف سے مختلف اشیاء کے رنگا رنگ اسٹال بھی لگائے گئے تھے ۔ تقریب کے شرکاء نے پاکستان ایسوسی ایشن یوگنڈا کے اقدامات کو سراہا اور اس تقریب کو یوگنڈا کی تاریخ کی سب سے بڑی تقریب قرار دیا.
یوگنڈا کی وزیر صنعت و سرمایہ کاری مسز انیتا نے اپنے خطاب کے دوران یوگنڈا میں مقیم پاکستانیوں کے یوگنڈا کی معیشت کے استحکام کے لئے کی جانے والی معاشی کوششوں کو سراہا اور اعلان کیا کہ گورنمنٹ آف یوگنڈا فارن انویسٹمنٹ کا خیر مقدم کرتی ہے اور یوگنڈا میں نئی انویسٹمنٹ لانے والے پاکستانی تاجروں کو انڈسٹری لگانے کے لئے مفت زمینیں مہیا کی جائیں گی۔
تقریب کے مہمان خصوصی یوگنڈا کے وزیر خارجہ ابوبکر اڈونگ نے اپنے خطاب کے دوران پاکستانیوں کو جشن آزادی کی مبارک باد پیش کی اور یوگنڈا کی ڈویلپمنٹ میں پاکستانی کمیونٹی کے مثبت کردار کو سراہا۔ اور چیرمین شیخ رشید احمد کو شاندار تقریب کے انعقاد پر مبارکباد پیش کی۔
تقریب کے آخر میں چیرمین پاکستان ایسوسی ایشن یوگنڈا شیخ رشید احمد نے اپنے خطاب کے دوران جشن آزادی کی تقریب کے شرکاء کا شکریہ ادا کیا اور انتظامیہ کی کارکردگی کو خراج تحسین پیش کیا۔ انکا کہنا تھا کہ آج یوگنڈا کی تاریخ میں پاکستانیوں کی سب سے بڑی تقریب منعقد ہوئی ہے اور ابھی تو یہ شروعات ہے۔ابھی ہمیں بہت کچھ کرنا ہے۔ انہوں نے پاکستان ایسوسی ایشن یوگنڈا کی انتظامی کمیٹی کی کاوشوں کی بھی تعریف کی اور کامیاب پروگرام کے انعقاد پر اپنی انتظامی کمیٹی کے اراکین کو مبارکباد پیش کی۔

Lahore (Rauf Sajid) Independence Day celebration was celebrated with full enthusiasm in the hall of Kampala Parents School under the auspices of Pakistan Association Uganda. On this occasion, the hall was decorated with beautiful green crescent flags and flags of Pakistan. Mr. Abubakar Adong, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uganda, was the special guest of the Independence Day ceremony, while the ambassadors of the Islamic Brotherhood countries also participated in the event. . Ambassador of Nigeria, Mr. Ghazali, United Nations diplomat, Mr. Sahir Aslam and State Ali Khan. Australian Honorary Consul Mr. Patrick and Uganda’s Minister of Industry and Investment Mrs. Anita also participated in the event. Along with all the officials and members of Pakistan Association Uganda, former chairman Pakistan Uganda Association Imran Nadeem, Khalid Hussain Saqi and current president Zafar Hussain were also present on this occasion. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. After that, the national anthems of both countries were played. Later, Pakistani children Arham Pasha, Raj Maheshwari and a student from Bikini, Rahnama Samina. Aslam also expressed his views.
Meanwhile, various floats and cultural dances were performed by Pakistani boys and girls on the stage. A local group from Uganda also performed an African dance to the delight of the Pakistanis.
A large-scale lunch was organized for the participants of the event. Around two thousand Pakistani citizens participated in the lunch.
Colorful stalls of different items were also set up by different people outside the hall. The participants of the event appreciated the initiatives of Pakistan Association Uganda and called this event the biggest event in the history of Uganda.
Uganda’s Minister of Industry and Investment, Mrs. Anita, during her address, appreciated the economic efforts of Pakistanis living in Uganda for the stability of the Ugandan economy and announced that the Government of Uganda welcomes foreign investment and in Uganda. Free land will be provided to Pakistani businessmen bringing new investment to set up industries.
The chief guest of the ceremony, Uganda’s Foreign Minister Abubakar Udong, during his speech, congratulated the Pakistanis on the Independence Day and appreciated the positive role of the Pakistani community in the development of Uganda. And congratulated the Chairman Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed for organizing the wonderful event.
At the end of the ceremony, Chairman Pakistan Association Uganda Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed thanked the participants of the Independence Day celebration and paid tribute to the performance of the administration. He said that today the biggest event of Pakistanis in the history of Uganda has been held and this is just the beginning. We still have a lot to do. He also appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan Association Uganda Management Committee and congratulated the members of his Management Committee for organizing a successful programme.
