Cases of monkeypox are increasing worldwide, health services are on alert

دنیا بھر میں منکی پوکس کے بڑھتے کیسز اور بھارت میں زیکا وائرس کے پھیلاؤ کے پیشِ نظر نیشنل کمانڈ اینڈ آپریشن سینٹر نے بارڈر ہیلتھ سروسز کو الرٹ جاری کر دیا۔ این سی او سی کے حکام کا کہنا ہے کہ بیرونِ ملک سے پاکستان آنے والے مسافروں کی نگرانی کی جائے، منکی پوکس کے مشتبہ مریضوں کو خصوصی وارڈز میں قرنطینہ کیا جائے۔
پاکستان میں اب تک منکی پوکس کے 9 کیسز سامنے آئے اور 1 ہلاکت ہو چکی ہے، پاکستان میں منکی پوکس کے سارے مریض عرب ممالک سے آئے تھے۔ نیشنل کمانڈ اینڈ آپریشن سینٹر کا کہنا ہے کہ پاکستان میں منکی پوکس کی بیماری مقامی طور پر موجود نہیں ہے۔ این سی او سی کے مطابق بھارتی شہر پونے میں زیکا وائرس کے 80 سے زائد کیسز سامنے آئے ہیں اور کئی ہلاکتیں ہو چکی ہیں۔
نیشنل کمانڈ اینڈ آپریشن سینٹر نے یہ بھی کہا ہے کہ پاکستان میں زیکا وائرس پھیلانے والا مچھر موجود ہے، آغا خان یونیورسٹی کے مطابق 22-2021ء میں کراچی میں زیکا وائرس کی موجودگی کنفرم ہوئی تھی۔

In view of increasing cases of monkeypox worldwide and the spread of Zika virus in India, the National Command and Operations Center has issued an alert to the Border Health Services. The officials of NCOC say that the travelers coming to Pakistan from abroad should be monitored, suspected monkeypox patients should be quarantined in special wards.
So far, 9 cases of monkey pox have been reported in Pakistan and 1 death has occurred. All the monkey pox patients in Pakistan came from Arab countries. The National Command and Operations Center says that monkeypox is not endemic in Pakistan. According to NCOC, more than 80 cases of Zika virus have been reported in the Indian city of Pune and many deaths have occurred.
The National Command and Operation Center has also said that there is a mosquito that spreads the Zika virus in Pakistan. According to the Aga Khan University, the presence of the Zika virus was confirmed in Karachi in 2021-22.
