کراچی میں امریکی قونصل خانے میں 14 اگست کی مناسبت سے شجر کاری مہم کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔امریکی قونصل جنرل کانرڈ ٹربل نے کہا ہے کہ امریکی عوام کی جانب سے پاکستانیوں کو جشن آزادی مبارک ہو، یہ سنگِ میل دونوں ممالک کے سفارتی تعلقات کے 77 سال کا بھی نشان ہے۔
اس موقع پر گفتگو کرتے ہوئے امریکی قونصل جنرل کانرڈ ٹربل نے کہا کہ دونوں ممالک کی شراکت داری اقتصادی ترقی، خوش حالی اور علاقائی استحکام کے اہداف پر قائم ہے۔انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ پاکستان کی حکومت کے ساتھ تعاون پر مبنی تعلقات کے عزم کا اعادہ کرتے ہیں۔ کانرڈ ٹربل کا یہ بھی کہنا ہے کہ ہم نے ایک ساتھ چیلنجوں کا مقابلہ کیا اور کامیابیوں کا جشن منایا۔
