Commission for the Protection of Journalists and Media Professionals formed to protect journalists
وفاقی حکومت نے صحافیوں کے تحفظ کیلئے کمیشن فار دی پروٹیکشن آف جرنلسٹس اینڈ میڈیا پروفیشنلز تشکیل دے دیا۔
کمیشن کا قیام پروٹیکشن آف جرنلسٹس اینڈ میڈیا پروفیشنلز ایکٹ 2021 کے تحت عمل میں آیا، وزارت اطلاعات و نشریات نے کمیشن کے قیام کا باضابطہ نوٹیفکیشن جاری کر دیا۔
کمیشن کے 12 ارکان کا نوٹیفکیشن جاری کیا گیا ہے، پرنسپل انفارمیشن آفیسر وزارت اطلاعات کمیشن کے بلحاظ عہدہ رکن ہوں گے، ڈی جی وزارت انسانی حقوق بھی کمیشن کے رکن نامزد ہو گئے۔
سیکرٹری پی آر اے، نوید اکبر، غلام نبی یوسفزئی بھی کمیشن کا حصہ ہیں، نیشنل پریس کلب سمیت پی ایف یوجے دھڑوں کی بھی نمائندگی شامل کی گئی ہے۔
حسن عباس، طاہر حسن خان، تمثیلہ چشتی، نادیہ صبوحی، خلیل احمد کمیشن کے ارکان ہوں گے، قومی و صوبائی پریس یونینز کے نمائندے بھی کمیشن میں شامل کئے گئے ہیں۔
کمیشن صحافیوں کے حقوق اور سکیورٹی اقدامات کی نگرانی کرے گا، کمیشن جلد اپنی ذمہ داریاں سنبھالے گا۔
The federal government has formed the Commission for the Protection of Journalists and Media Professionals to protect journalists.
The establishment of the commission was implemented under the Protection of Journalists and Media Professionals Act 2021, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued an official notification of the establishment of the commission.
A notification of 12 members of the commission has been issued, the Principal Information Officer of the Ministry of Information will be an ex-officio member of the commission, the DG Ministry of Human Rights has also been nominated as a member of the commission.
Secretary PRA, Naveed Akbar, Ghulam Nabi Yousafzai are also part of the commission, and representation from the National Press Club and PFUJ factions has also been included.
Hassan Abbas, Tahir Hassan Khan, Tamsila Chishti, Nadia Sabohi, Khalil Ahmed will be members of the commission, representatives of national and provincial press unions have also been included in the commission.
The commission will monitor the rights and security measures of journalists, and the commission will assume its responsibilities soon.
