Children are my red line, child labor will not be tolerated at all: Maryam Nawaz

وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز شریف نے کہا ہے کہ بچے میری ریڈ لائن ہیں، چائلڈ لیبر ہرگز برداشت نہیں۔بچوں سے جبری مشقت کے انسداد کے عالمی دن کے موقع پر خصوصی پیغام جاری کرتے ہوئے وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز نے کہا ہے کہ آج کے جدید دور میں بھی چائلڈ لیبر کے واقعات انسانیت کے لیے ایک المناک حقیقت ہیں جو معاشرے کے باشعور افراد کے لیے لمحہ فکریہ ہیں، بچوں کے ہاتھ میں قلم، کتاب اور لیپ ٹاپ ہونے چاہئیں نہ کہ اوزار یا اینٹیں۔
مریم نواز شریف کا کہنا تھا کہ کم سنی میں تعلیم کے بجائے مشقت اٹھانے پر مجبور بچے ہر مہذب معاشرے کے لیے ایک بڑا سوالیہ نشان ہیں، اگر ہم اپنے معصوم بچوں کا بچپن محفوظ نہ بنا سکے تو آنے والے کل میں ہمارا معاشرہ مفید شہریوں سے محروم رہ جائے گا۔
انہوں نے چائلڈ لیبر کو محض ایک سماجی مسئلہ نہیں بلکہ نسلوں کے مستقبل کا سنگین سوال قرار دیا۔
وزیر اعلیٰ نے واضح انداز میں کہا کہ چائلڈ لیبر ہرگز برداشت نہیں کی جائے گی کیونکہ “بچے میری ریڈ لائن ہیں”، پنجاب حکومت بچوں کے محفوظ مستقبل کے لیے مؤثر اقدامات کر رہی ہے، پنجاب ملک کا پہلا صوبہ ہے جہاں چائلڈ پروٹیکشن پالیسی نافذ کی گئی ہے۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ پنجاب میں پہلا ورچوئل چائلڈ سیفٹی سٹیشن قائم کر کے بچوں کے حقوق کے تحفظ کو یقینی بنایا جا رہا ہے، جبری مشقت سے نجات دلا کر ان بچوں کو تعلیم کی طرف لایا جا رہا ہے تاکہ وہ روشن مستقبل کی طرف بڑھ سکیں۔
مریم نواز شریف نے عزم ظاہر کیا کہ وہ ایسا پنجاب دیکھنا چاہتی ہیں جہاں ہر بچہ مزدوری نہیں بلکہ تعلیم حاصل کرے اور قوم کا مستقبل سنوارے۔

Issuing a special message on the occasion of the World Day for the Elimination of Forced Child Labor, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that even in today’s modern era, incidents of child labor are a tragic reality for humanity, which are a matter of concern for the conscious people of the society. Children should have pens, books and laptops in their hands, not tools or bricks.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that children forced to work hard instead of education at an early age are a big question mark for every civilized society. If we cannot make the childhood of our innocent children safe, then in the coming tomorrow our society will be deprived of useful citizens.
She called child labor not just a social problem but a serious question for the future of generations.
The Chief Minister clearly stated that child labor will never be tolerated because “children are my red line”, the Punjab government is taking effective steps for the safe future of children, Punjab is the first province in the country where a child protection policy has been implemented.
He further said that the protection of children’s rights is being ensured by establishing the first virtual child safety station in Punjab, and by freeing these children from forced labor, they are being brought towards education so that they can move towards a bright future.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed her determination that she wants to see a Punjab where every child does not work but gets education and improves the future of the nation.
