Brotherly countries including Saudi Arabia should pressure India to reduce tensions in the region, says Prime Minister

وزیراعظم پاکستان شہباز شریف نے کہا کہ سعودی عرب سمیت برادر ممالک خطے میں کشیدگی میں کمی کےلیے بھارت پر دباؤ ڈالیں۔
یہ بات انہوں نے ملاقات کےلیے آنے والے پاکستان میں سعودی عرب کے سفیر نواف بن سعیدالمالکی سے گفتگو کے دوران کہی۔
وزیرِاعظم نے کہا کہ پاکستان نے ہرقسم کی دہشت گردی کی مذمت کی ہے۔
ملاقات کے دوران وزیرِاعظم نے بتایا کہ پاکستان نے گزشتہ برسوں میں انسداد دہشت گردی کی کوششوں میں بڑی قربانیاں دی ہیں۔ قربانیاں نہ صرف پاکستان بلکہ پوری دنیا کے تحفظ کے لیے انتہائی اہم ثابت ہوئی ہیں۔انہوں نے پہلگام واقعے سے پاکستان کو جوڑنے کے بےبنیاد بھارتی الزامات کو یکسر مسترد کیا اور واقعے کی شفاف اور غیر جانبدار بین الاقوامی تحقیقات کے اپنے مطالبے کا اعادہ کیا۔
شہباز شریف نے کہا کہ پاکستان کی کامیابیاں خطرے میں ڈالنے اور اقتصادی ترقی کی راہ سے ہٹانے کی بھارتی کوششیں ناقابل فہم ہیں۔
وزیرِاعظم نے جنوبی ایشیا میں امن و استحکام کےلیے پاکستان کی خواہش کا اعادہ کیا۔
ملاقات میں وزیرِاعظم نے شاہ سلمان بن عبدالعزیز، شہزادہ محمد بن سلمان کے لیے نیک تمناؤں کا اظہار کیا اور ساتھ ہی پاکستان کے ساتھ اظہار یکجہتی پر سعودی قیادت اور عوام کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔
اس موقع پر سعودی سفیر نے کہا کہ سعودی عرب خطے میں امن و سلامتی کے لیے پاکستان کے ساتھ مل کر کام کرنا چاہتا ہے۔

Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif said that brotherly countries including Saudi Arabia should put pressure on India to reduce tensions in the region.
He said this during a conversation with Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki, who came for a meeting.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan has condemned all forms of terrorism.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan has made great sacrifices in counter-terrorism efforts in the past years. The sacrifices have proven to be very important not only for the security of Pakistan but also for the entire world. He completely rejected the baseless Indian allegations linking Pakistan to the Pahalgam incident and reiterated his demand for a transparent and impartial international investigation into the incident.
Shehbaz Sharif said that Indian efforts to jeopardize Pakistan’s achievements and divert it from the path of economic development are incomprehensible.
The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s desire for peace and stability in South Asia.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his best wishes to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Prince Mohammed bin Salman and also thanked the Saudi leadership and people for their solidarity with Pakistan. On this occasion, the Saudi ambassador said that Saudi Arabia wants to work with Pakistan for peace and security in the region.
