Prime Minister launches Spring 2025 tree plantation campaign

وزیراعظم میاں شہباز شریف نے موسم بہار 2025 کی شجرکاری مہم کا آغاز کر دیا۔
اسلام آباد میں تقریب کے دوران وزیراعظم نے پودا لگا کر شجر کاری مہم کا آغاز کیا۔
اس موقع پر خطاب کرتے ہوئے وزیراعظم شہباز شریف کا کہنا تھا کہ رحمتوں اور برکتوں والے ماہ مقدس رمضان المبارک میں 2025 کی شجرکاری مہم کا آغاز کر دیا گیا ہے جس کے دوران چاروں صوبوں کے ساتھ ساتھ آزاد کشمیر اور گلگت بلتستان میں تقریباً 4 کروڑ 17 لاکھ پودے لگانے کا منصوبہ ہے جس میں پوری قوم اور بالخصوص نوجوان اور کسان بڑھ چڑھ کر حصہ لیں۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ درخت ہمارے ماحول کو بہتر بنانے میں بہت مدد دیتے ہیں، شجرکاری سے بیماریوں اور ماحولیاتی آلودگی میں کمی آئے گی۔
ان کا کہنا تھا کہ پچھلے چند سالوں کے دوران ہونے والی موسمیاتی تبدیلیوں کی وجہ سے شجرکاری کی اہمیت مزید بڑھ گئی ہے کیونکہ دنیا میں موسمیاتی تبدیلیاں رونما ہوئی ہیں، 2022 کا شدید ترین سیلاب موسمیاتی تبدیلی کی وجہ سے ہی آیا اور اس میں بڑے پیمانے پر تباہی ہوئی۔
وزیراعظم شبہاز شریف نے کہا کہ بدقسمتی سے پاکستان موسمیاتی تبدیلی سے سب سے زیادہ متاثرہ 10 ممالک میں شامل ہے، حالانکہ گرین ہاؤس گیسز کے اخراج میں پاکستان کا حصہ نہ ہونے کے برابر ہے اس لیے ضرورت اس بات کی ہے کہ زیادہ سے زیادہ پودے لگائے جائیں۔
مزید برآں موسم بہار 2025 کی شجرکاری مہم کے دوران پنجاب میں ایک کروڑ 28 لاکھ 70 ہزار، سندھ میں ایک کروڑ، خیبرپختونخوا میں 26 لاکھ 33 ہزار، بلوچستان میں 20 لاکھ 62 ہزار، آزاد کشمیر ایک کروڑ ایک لاکھ 47 ہزار اور گلگت بلتستان میں 40 لاکھ پودے لگانے کا ہدف مقرر کیا گیا ہے۔

During a ceremony in Islamabad, the Prime Minister launched the tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling.
Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the 2025 tree plantation campaign has been launched in the holy month of mercy and blessings of Ramadan, during which there is a plan to plant about 41.7 million trees in all four provinces as well as Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, in which the entire nation, especially the youth and farmers, should actively participate.
He said that trees help a lot in improving our environment, tree plantation will reduce diseases and environmental pollution.
He said that the importance of tree plantation has increased due to climate change in the last few years because climate change has occurred in the world, the most severe flood of 2022 came due to climate change and caused widespread destruction.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that unfortunately, Pakistan is among the 10 countries most affected by climate change, although Pakistan’s share in greenhouse gas emissions is negligible, so there is a need to plant as many trees as possible.
Furthermore, during the spring 2025 tree plantation campaign, a target has been set to plant 12.87 million trees in Punjab, 10 million trees in Sindh, 2.633 million trees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2 million trees in Balochistan, 1 million trees in Azad Kashmir and 4 million trees in Gilgit-Baltistan.
