Yemen cancels joint defense agreement with UAE
یمنی صدارتی قیادت کونسل نے متحدہ عرب امارات کے ساتھ مشترکہ دفاعی معاہدہ منسوخ کردیا۔
غیر ملکی خبر رساں ادارے کے مطابق یہ اقدام سعودی عرب اتحاد کی یمنی بندرگاہ مکلا پر ہتھیاروں اور دیگر فوجی سازوسامان کی اسمگلنگ کرنے والے دو جہازوں کو نشانہ بنانے کے بعد سامنے آیا۔
یہ جہاز متحدہ عرب امارات کی فجیرہ بندرگاہ سے بلا اجازت مکلا بندرگاہ میں داخل ہوئے تھے۔
ترجمان اتحادی افواج کا کہنا ہے کہ یمنی صدارتی قیادت کونسل کے صدر کی درخواست پر کارروائی کی گئی۔ سعودی عرب نے یو اے ای سے 24 گھنٹوں میں یمن سے افواج نکالنے کا مطالبہ کیا ہے۔
سعودی وزارت خارجہ کی جانب سے جاری بیان میں کہا گیا ہے کہ یمن میں امارات کی جانب سے علیحدگی پسند گروہوں کی حمایت سعودی عرب کی قومی سلامتی کے لیے براہ راست خطرہ ہے۔
سعودی وزارت خارجہ کا کہنا ہے کہ یمن کے امن کے لیے مذاکرات ہی واحد حل ہے۔ دانش مندی، اخوت، حسنِ ہمسائیگی اور خلیجی تعاون کونسل کے رکن ممالک کے درمیان مضبوط تعلقات کو ترجیح دی جائے گی۔
سعودی وزارت خارجہ نے کہا کہ اُمید ہے متحدہ عرب امارات ایسے اقدامات کرے گا جو دونوں برادر ممالک کے دوطرفہ تعلقات کے تحفظ اور خطے کے امن، استحکام اور خوشحالی کے فروغ کا باعث بنیں گے۔
The Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council has canceled a joint defense agreement with the United Arab Emirates.
According to a foreign news agency, this move came after the Saudi-led coalition targeted two ships smuggling weapons and other military equipment at the Yemeni port of Mukalla.
The ships had entered Mukalla port without permission from the United Arab Emirates’ Fujairah port.
The coalition spokesman said that the action was taken at the request of the president of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council. Saudi Arabia has demanded that the UAE withdraw its forces from Yemen within 24 hours.
A statement issued by the Saudi Foreign Ministry said that the UAE’s support for separatist groups in Yemen is a direct threat to Saudi Arabia’s national security.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry says that negotiations are the only solution for peace in Yemen. Wisdom, brotherhood, good neighborliness and strong relations between the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council will be prioritized.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry said it hopes the United Arab Emirates will take steps that will safeguard bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
