Punjab: Cases against 700 fake lawyers in 5 years, 219 declared as proclaimed offenders

پنجاب میں جعلی وکلاء کی بھرمار ہوگئی، 5 سالوں میں 700 جعلی وکلاء کے خلاف مقدمات درج کئے گئے۔
پنجاب بار کونسل کے اعداد و شمار کے مطابق سال 2020 سے لے کر سال 2025 تک یعنی 5 سالوں میں 700 جعلی وکلاء کے خلاف پنجاب بھر کے مختلف اضلاع کے تھانوں میں مقدمات درج کئے گئے جبکہ 219 وکلا اشتہاری قرار دیئے گئے اور ابھی تک گرفتاری نہ ہو سکی۔
پانچ سالوں میں صرف دو وکلاء کو ٹرائل کورٹ نے سزا دی اور باقی کیسز ابھی تک زیر التوا ہیں، 1500 وکلاء کا ریکارڈ پنجاب بار کونسل سے غائب کر دیا گیا جس پر تحقیقات کا آغاز کر دیا گیا ہے۔
چیئرمین اینٹی کرپشن کمیٹی پنجاب بار کونسل منیر حسین بھٹی نے روزنامہ دنیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ جعلی وکلاء نے وکالت کے پروفیشن کو بدنام کر دیا ہے، 700 وکلاء کے کیسز کو برق رفتار سے نمٹانے کیلئے پراسیکیوٹر جنرل سے 5 سپیشل پراسیکیوٹرز کی خدمات حاصل کی گئی ہیں۔
انہوں نے بتایا کہ سپیشل ٹرائل کورٹس مختص کر دی گئی ہیں، کسی جعلی وکیل سے رعایت نہیں ہوگی، انہیں عدالتوں سے قانون کے مطابق سزائیں دلوائیں گے۔
منیر حسین بھٹی نے مزید کہا کہ 1500 وکلاء کا ریکارڈ پنجاب بار کونسل سے غائب ہونا لمحہ فکریہ ہے، اس حوالے سے تحقیقات جلد مکمل ہوں گی، جن وکلا کا ریکارڈ نہیں انہیں بذریعہ ایس ایم ایس، واٹس ایپ میسج پیغامات بھجوا دیئے گئے ہیں کہ وہ اپنا ریکارڈ فوری پنجاب بار کونسل میں جمع کروائیں۔

There is a lot of fake lawyers in Punjab, cases were registered against 700 fake lawyers in 5 years.
According to the data of the Punjab Bar Council, from 2020 to 2025, i.e. in 5 years, cases were registered against 700 fake lawyers in police stations of different districts across Punjab, while 219 lawyers were declared absconders and have not been arrested yet.
In five years, only two lawyers were convicted by the trial court and the remaining cases are still pending, the records of 1,500 lawyers were deleted from the Punjab Bar Council, on which an investigation has been initiated.
Chairman Anti-Corruption Committee Punjab Bar Council Munir Hussain Bhatti, while talking to the daily Dunya, said that fake lawyers have defamed the legal profession, and the services of 5 special prosecutors have been obtained from the Prosecutor General to deal with the cases of 700 lawyers at lightning speed.
He said that special trial courts have been allocated, no fake lawyer will be spared, they will be punished by the courts according to the law. Munir Hussain Bhatti further said that the disappearance of the records of 1500 lawyers from the Punjab Bar Council is a matter of concern, the investigation in this regard will be completed soon, the lawyers whose records are not there have been sent messages via SMS and WhatsApp to submit their records to the Punjab Bar Council immediately.
