Maryam Nawaz meets Dutch Ambassador Henny de Vries, discusses bilateral relations

وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز شریف سے نیدرلینڈز کی پاکستان میں سفیر ہینی ڈی ویریس نے ملاقات کی۔
ملاقات میں معروف ڈچ ہاکی لیجنڈ فلورِس یان بوویلینڈر، پاکستانی فٹبالر کائنات بخاری بھی شریک ہوئے، اس موقع پر دو طرفہ تعلقات، تجارت، سرمایہ کاری، کھیلوں کے فروغ اور نوجوانوں کی فلاح پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔
کھیلوں کے فروغ اور اس کے ذریعے عوامی روابط کے قیام پر خصوصی گفتگو کی گئی، ملاقات میں ڈچ ہاکی لیجنڈ فلورِس یان بوویلینڈر، پاکستانی نژاد ڈچ فٹبالر کائنات بخاری کی بھرپور پذیرائی کی گئی۔
مریم نواز شریف نے کہا کہ پاکستان اور نیدرلینڈز کے مابین دیرینہ دوستانہ تعلقات ہیں، پاکستان نیدرلینڈز کے باہمی تعلقات وقت کے ساتھ مزید گہرے اور وسیع ہوئے ہیں، ڈچ ہاکی لیجنڈ کی موجودگی پنجاب کے باصلاحیت نوجوانوں کے لیے حوصلہ افزا ہے۔وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب نے کہا کہ تاریخی طور پر پاک نیدرلینڈز تعلقات تجارت، زراعت، تعلیم اور استعداد کار میں قابلِ قدر فروغ کا باعث بنے ہیں، سیاسی، اقتصادی، ثقافتی اور کھیلوں سمیت تمام شعبوں میں باہمی تعاون کو مزید مستحکم بنائیں گے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ دونوں ممالک کے درمیان دو طرفہ تجارتی حجم 2.3 ارب ڈالر تک پہنچنا قابل اطمینان ہے، پاک نیدر لینڈز کے مابین معاشی تعاون کے فروغ کے وسیع امکانات موجود ہیں۔۔
مریم نواز شریف نے کہا کہ ہاکی اور کرکٹ جیسے کھیل پاکستان اور نیدرلینڈز کے درمیان مشترکہ جذبے کا ذریعہ بن سکتے ہیں، فلورِس یان بوویلینڈر کا لاہور میں نوجوان کھلاڑیوں کے ساتھ کام کرنا قومی کھیل ہاکی کو مزید تقویت بخشے گا۔
وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب نے کائنات بخاری کو نوجوان لڑکیوں کے لیے رول ماڈل قرار دیا اور کہا کہ بطور پہلی خاتون وزیراعلیٰ، خواتین کی شمولیت اور قیادت کو فروغ دینا میری اولین ترجیح ہے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ کھیلتا پنجاب”پروگرام سے حکومت پنجاب کھیلوں کی سہولیات کو ضلع،تحصیل اور گاؤں کی سطح پر فروغ دے رہی ہے، نوجوانوں کو مثبت سرگرمیوں کا حصہ بنایا جا رہا ہے۔

The meeting was also attended by renowned Dutch hockey legend Floris Jan Bovelander and Pakistani footballer Kainat Bukhari. On this occasion, bilateral relations, trade, investment, promotion of sports and welfare of youth were discussed.
A special discussion was held on the promotion of sports and the establishment of public relations through it. Dutch hockey legend Floris Jan Bovelander and Pakistani-origin Dutch footballer Kainat Bukhari were warmly welcomed in the meeting.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan and the Netherlands have long-standing friendly relations, Pakistan-Netherlands relations have deepened and expanded over time, the presence of the Dutch hockey legend is encouraging for the talented youth of Punjab. The Chief Minister of Punjab said that historically, Pak-Netherlands relations have led to significant growth in trade, agriculture, education and capacity building, and will further strengthen mutual cooperation in all fields including political, economic, cultural and sports.
She said that the bilateral trade volume between the two countries has reached $ 2.3 billion, there are vast possibilities for promoting economic cooperation between Pak-Netherlands.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that sports like hockey and cricket can become a source of common passion between Pakistan and the Netherlands, Floris Jan Bovelander’s work with young players in Lahore will further strengthen the national game of hockey.
The Punjab Chief Minister described Kainat Bukhari as a role model for young girls and said that as the first female Chief Minister, promoting women’s participation and leadership is my top priority. He said that through the “Khelta Punjab” program, the Punjab government is promoting sports facilities at the district, tehsil and village levels, making the youth a part of positive activities.
