FBR action, 3 agents arrested for manipulating faceless customs assessment system

فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو نے فیس لیس کسٹمز اسسمنٹ سسٹم میں ہیر پھیر کرنے کی کوشش پر ملوث درجنوں ایجنٹس کے لائسنس معطل، تین افراد گرفتار کرلیے ۔
شہر قائد میں ایف بی آر کی ٹیم نے کارروائی کی ، جبکہ اور ایک اپریزنگ افسر کے خلاف بھی تحقیقات کا آغاز کردیا گیا جبکہ ایف بی آر نے متوقع ہیر پھیر پر کراچی کسٹمز کی ٹیم کو مسلسل کڑی نگرانی کرنے کی ہدایت دی۔
ترجمان ایف بی آر کا کہنا تھا کہ فیس لیس کسٹمز اسسمنٹ سسٹم میں ہیر پھیر کرنے میں ملوث پائے گئے افراد کے خلاف سخت کارروائی شروع کر دی گئی ہے۔ کراچی کسٹمز نے اس غیر قانونی سرگرمی میں شامل 45 ایجنٹس کے کسٹمز لائسنس معطل کر د یئے ہیں۔
اسی طرح جن ایجنٹس کے لائسنس معطل کئے گئے انہیں شوکاز نوٹس بھی جاری کر دیئے گئے ہیں، ہیر پھیر میں ملوث ایک اپریزنگ افسر کو معطل کرکے اسکے خلاف باضابطہ تحقیقات بھی شروع کر دی گئی ہیں، اس غیر قانونی سرگرمی میں ملوث ایجنٹس، اپریزنگ افسر اور دیگر پرائیویٹ افراد کے خلاف فوجداری مقدمہ بھی درج کر لیا گیاہے۔
ترجمان نےبتایا کہ ایف بی آر نے معاملے کی چھان بین کے لئے ایک تحقیقاتی ٹیم بھی تشکیل د ے دی گئی ہے۔ اب تک تین افراد کو گرفتار کیا جا چکا ہے، باقی ملزمان کی گرفتاری کے لیے چھاپے مارے جا رہے ہیں، فیس لیس کسٹمز اسسمنٹ سسٹم کسٹمز کلیئرنس کا کام موثر طریقے سے انجام دے رہا ہے۔
دوسری جانب اس سسٹم کو کسٹمز کلیئرنس کے میدان میں اسٹیک ہولڈرز کی طرف سے ایک انقلابی قدم قرار دیاجا رہا ہے، وزیر اعظم پاکستان نے تقریباً دو ہفتے پہلے فیس لیس کسٹمز اسسمنٹ سسٹم کا افتتاح کیا تھا۔

The Federal Board of Revenue has suspended the licenses of dozens of agents involved in attempting to manipulate the faceless customs assessment system, and arrested three people.
An FBR team took action in Shahr-e-Quaid, while an investigation was also launched against an assessing officer, while the FBR directed the Karachi Customs team to continuously monitor the suspected manipulation.
The FBR spokesperson said that strict action has been initiated against those found involved in manipulating the faceless customs assessment system. Karachi Customs has suspended the customs licenses of 45 agents involved in this illegal activity.
Similarly, show cause notices have also been issued to the agents whose licenses were suspended, an assessing officer involved in the manipulation has been suspended and a formal investigation has been initiated against him, a criminal case has also been registered against the agents, assessing officer and other private individuals involved in this illegal activity.
The spokesperson said that the FBR has also formed an investigation team to investigate the matter. So far, three people have been arrested, raids are being conducted to arrest the remaining accused, the faceless customs assessment system is carrying out the work of customs clearance effectively. On the other hand, this system is being described as a revolutionary step by stakeholders in the field of customs clearance, the Prime Minister of Pakistan inaugurated the faceless customs assessment system about two weeks ago.
