23 people died due to fire in school bus

بنکاک کے ایک اسکول کے بچوں کو لے جانیوالی بس میں اچانک آگ بھڑک اٹھی، جس سے 23 افراد جھلس کر ہلاک ہو گئے۔
یہ بس ملک کے شمال میں اسکول کے دورے کے بعد تھائی لینڈ کے دارالحکومت لوٹ رہی تھی۔ خیال کیا جاتا ہے کہ ہلاک ہونے والوں کی اکثریت بچوں کی ہے۔
جائے وقوعہ سے حاصل ہونے والی ویڈیوز میں دیکھا جا سکتا ہے کہ آگ کے شعلوں نے ایک پل کے نیچے بس کو گھیرے میں لے رکھا ہے اور آسمان پر کالے دھوئیں کے بڑے بادل منڈلا رہے ہیں۔
وزیر ٹرانسپورٹ سوریہ جونگرونگرونگ کٹ نے کہا کہ بس انتہائی خطرناک کمپریسڈ قدرتی گیس سے چل رہی تھی۔
عینی شاہدین کا کہنا ہے کہ بس بینکاک کے شمال میں شاہراہ کو تقسیم کرنے والے کنکریٹ کے بیریئر سے ٹکرا گئی۔
بس تیزی سے آگ کی لپیٹ میں آ گئی اور اس میں سوار بہت سے لوگ باہر نکلنے سے قاصر رہے۔ آگ لگنے کی وجہ ابھی تک معلوم نہیں ہوسکی ہے۔
بتایا جاتا ہے کہ انیس بچے اور تین اساتذہ زندہ بچ گئے ہیں، جن میں سے 16 بچے اسپتال میں زیر علاج ہیں۔

A bus carrying school children in Bangkok burst into flames, killing 23 people.
The bus was returning to the Thai capital after a school trip in the north of the country. The majority of those killed are believed to be children.
Videos from the scene show flames engulfing the bus under a bridge and plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky.
Transport Minister Surya Jongrongrongkat said the bus was running on extremely dangerous compressed natural gas.
Witnesses said the bus crashed into a concrete barrier dividing the highway north of Bangkok.
The bus was quickly engulfed in flames and many occupants were unable to get out. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Nineteen children and three teachers are said to have survived, of which 16 children are being treated in hospital.
