وزارت ریلوے نے آئندہ چند ماہ میں 15 ہزار اضافی پوسٹیں ختم کرنے کا منصوبہ بنایا ہے، جو وزارت کی رائٹ سائزنگ کوششوں کا حصہ ہے،یہ فیصلہ کابینہ کمیٹی برائے رائٹ سائزنگ کے پیر کو ہونے والے اجلاس میں کیا گیاہے۔
اجلاس کی صدارت وفاقی وزیر خزانہ و محصولات محمد اورنگزیب نے کی، جس کا مقصد وفاقی وزارتوں میں رائٹ سائزنگ کے اقدامات کی پیشرفت کا جائزہ لینا تھا،اسٹیبلشمینٹ ڈویژن نے وزیر کو آگاہ کیا کہ 29 وزارتوں اور ایک آئینی ادارے سے 11,877 پوسٹوں اور 4,660 مرنے والی پوسٹوں کے خاتمے کی تصدیق حاصل ہو چکی ہے،اورنگزیب نے کمیٹی کے فیصلوں کے نفاذ کی تعریف کی اور وزارتوں اور محکموں کی کوششوں کو سراہا۔اجلاس میں وزارت کی کارکردگی کو اس کے بنیادی مینڈیٹ سے ہم آہنگ کرنے اور غیر ضروری پوسٹوں کو کم کرنے پر زور دیا گیا، کمیٹی نے فیصلہ کیا کہ اس معاملے کو مزید جائزے اور تجویز کردہ اقدامات کے نفاذ کے لیے سب کمیٹی برائے حقوق سائزنگ کو بھیجا جائے گا،کمیٹی نے وفاقی وزارتوں میں حقوق سائزنگ کے اقدامات کو مرحلہ وار نافذ کرنے کا مطالبہ کیا تاکہ ”موثر، کارگر اور پائیدار پالیسی نتائج“ حاصل کیے جا سکیں۔

The Railways Ministry has planned to eliminate 15,000 additional posts in the next few months, as part of the ministry’s rightsizing efforts. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Rightsizing on Monday. The meeting was chaired by Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb, whose objective was to review the progress of rightsizing initiatives in federal ministries. The Establishment Division informed the minister that confirmation of abolition of 11,877 posts and 4,660 dormant posts has been received from 29 ministries and one constitutional body. Aurangzeb appreciated the implementation of the decisions of the committee and appreciated the efforts of the ministries and departments. The meeting emphasized on aligning the performance of the ministry with its core mandate and reducing unnecessary posts. The committee decided that the matter would be referred to the Sub-Committee on Rightsizing for further review and implementation of the recommended measures. The committee called for phased implementation of rightsizing initiatives in federal ministries so that “effective, efficient and sustainable policy outcomes” could be achieved.
