NA 148 Multan, polling for by-election continues

لیکشن کمیشن کے مطابق پولنگ بغیر کسی وقفے کے شام 5 بجے تک جاری رہے گی، حلقے میں مجموعی طور پر 7 امیدوار میدان میں ہیں، پیپلز پارٹی کے علی قاسم گیلانی اور سنی اتحاد کونسل کے تیمور الطاف ملک میں کا ٹنے کا مقابلہ ہے۔
حلقے میں کل ووٹر کی تعداد 4 لاکھ 44 ہزار 231 ہے جن میں 2 لاکھ 33 ہزار 624 مرد جبکہ 2 لاکھ 10 ہزار 607 خواتین ووٹر ہیں۔
الیکشن کمیشن کے مطابق حلقے میں 275 پولنگ سٹیشن قائم کئے گئے ہیں، خواتین اور مرد ووٹرز کیلئے 72، 72 پولنگ سٹیشن مختص کئے گئے جبکہ 131 پولنگ سٹیشن مشترکہ ہیں۔
الیکشن کمیشن نے ان پولنگ سٹیشنز میں سے 69 کو حساس قرار دیا ہے، 3 ہزار800 پولیس افسرو اہلکار سکیورٹی فرائض انجام دیں گے۔
واضح رہے کہ حلقے میں یوسف رضا گیلانی کامیاب ہوئے تھے، ان کے سینیٹر بننے پر سیٹ خالی ہوئی تھی۔

According to the Election Commission, the polling will continue till 5 pm without any break. In the constituency, there are a total of 7 candidates in the fray, Ali Qasim Geelani of the People’s Party and Taimur Altaf of the Sunni Ittehad Council are contesting in Malik.
The total number of voters in the constituency is 4 lakh 44 thousand 231, of which 2 lakh 33 thousand 624 are male voters while 2 lakh 10 thousand 607 are female voters.
According to the Election Commission, 275 polling stations have been set up in the constituency, 72 polling stations have been allocated for female and male voters, while 131 polling stations are shared.
The Election Commission has declared 69 of these polling stations as sensitive, 3,800 police officers will perform security duties.
It should be noted that Yusuf Raza Gilani was successful in the constituency, the seat became vacant after he became a senator.
