Attack on Iran is unnecessary and dangerous, Congress should use its power to stop Trump, Kamala Harris says

امریکا کی سابق نائب صدر کملا ہیرس نے ایران پر بڑے پیمانے پر امریکی فوجی حملوں اور خامنہ ای کی شہادت پر صدر ڈونلڈ ٹرمپ کو شدید تنقید کا نشانہ بناتے ہوئے اسے عزم کے لبادے میں لپٹی لاپرواہی قرار دیا ہے۔ہفتے کے روز جاری اپنے بیان میں کملا ہیرس نے کہا کہ ‘ڈونلڈ ٹرمپ امریکا کو ایک ایسی جنگ میں گھسیٹ رہے ہیں جسے امریکی عوام نہیں چاہتے۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ یہ کارروائی خطرناک اور غیر ضروری جوا’ ہے جو امریکی جانوں کو خطرے میں ڈالنے کے ساتھ ساتھ مشرقِ وسطیٰ میں عدم استحکام کو بڑھا سکتی ہے۔
ملا ہیرس نے واضح کیا کہ وہ ایران میں حکومت کی تبدیلی کے لیے کسی جنگ کی حمایت نہیں کرتیں اور امریکی فوجیوں کو ایک ‘انتخابی جنگ’ کی خاطر خطرے میں ڈالا جا رہا ہے۔
ان کے مطابق آئین کے تحت صدر کو کسی بھی جنگی اقدام سے قبل کانگریس کی منظوری درکار ہوتی ہے، اس لیے کانگریس کو چاہیے کہ وہ اپنے اختیارات استعمال کرتے ہوئے مزید عسکری پیش قدمی کو روکے۔انہوں نے کہا کہ ‘ہم ایران کے خطرات سے آگاہ ہیں اور اسے جوہری ہتھیار حاصل کرنے کی اجازت نہیں دی جا سکتی، لیکن موجودہ راستہ اس مسئلے کا حل نہیں ہے۔
کملا ہیرس نے امریکی فوجیوں کے لیے نیک تمناؤں کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ وہ ان بہادر اہلکاروں کے لیے دعاگو ہیں جو خطرناک مشنز پر تعینات ہیں۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ امریکا کو جنگی جنون کے بجائے ذمہ دار اور متوازن قیادت کی ضرورت ہے تاکہ عوام، اتحادیوں اور فوجیوں کے مفادات کا تحفظ یقینی بنایا جا سکے۔

In a statement released on Saturday, Kamala Harris said that “Donald Trump is dragging the United States into a war that the American people do not want. She said that this action is a dangerous and unnecessary gamble” that could put American lives at risk and increase instability in the Middle East.
Mullah Harris made it clear that she does not support a war for regime change in Iran and that American soldiers are being put at risk for the sake of an “election war.”
According to him, under the Constitution, the president needs the approval of Congress before any war action, so Congress should use its powers to prevent further military advances. He said, “We are aware of the dangers of Iran and cannot allow it to obtain nuclear weapons, but the current path is not the solution to this problem.” Expressing her best wishes for the American soldiers, Kamala Harris said that she is praying for these brave personnel who are deployed on dangerous missions. She said that America needs responsible and balanced leadership instead of war madness to ensure the protection of the interests of the people, allies and soldiers.
