One and a half hundred bombs were recovered from a house in America

غیر ملکی میڈیا کی رپورٹ کے مطابق وفاقی پراسیکیوٹرز نے عدالت کو بتایا کہ دسمبر میں نارفولک کے شمال مغرب میں بریڈ اسپافورڈ نامی ایک شخص کے گھر کی تلاشی کے دوران 150 سے زائد پائپ بم اور دیگر دھماکا خیز آلات برآمد کیے گئے۔
بتایا جارہا ہے کہ یہ تعداد ایف بی آئی کی تاریخ میں کسی بھی ضبط شدہ دھماکا خیز مواد کی سب سے بڑی مقدار ہے۔
زیادہ تر دھماکا خیز مواد گھر کے ساتھ موجود گیراج میں پایا گیا، جہاں بم بنانے کے اوزار اور دیگر سامان بھی موجود تھا جن میں فیوز اور پلاسٹک کے پائپ شامل تھے۔
مزید یہ کہ کچھ پائپ بم گھر کی بیڈ روم میں ایک بیگ میں ملے جو کہ بالکل غیر محفوظ تھے۔ اس گھر میں اسپافورڈ اپنی اہلیہ اور دو چھوٹے بچوں کے ساتھ رہتا تھا۔
36 سالہ اسپافورڈ پر نیشنل فائر آرمز ایکٹ کی خلاف ورزی کرتے ہوئے غیر رجسٹرڈ شارٹ بیرل رائفل رکھنے کا الزام عائد کیا گیا ہے جبکہ پراسیکیوٹرز نے اشارہ دیا کہ دھماکہ خیز مواد سے متعلق مزید کئی الزامات بھی عائد کیے جا سکتے ہیں۔
اسپافورڈ کے وکلاء نے دفاع کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ حکام نے ایسا کوئی ثبوت پیش نہیں کیا کہ وہ کسی قسم کے تشدد کی منصوبہ بندی کر رہا تھا۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ ان دھماکا خیز آلات کو قابل استعمال سمجھنا ممکن نہیں کیونکہ پیشہ ورانہ ماہرین کو ان آلات کو دھماکے سے اڑانے کےلیے خاص انتظام کرنا پڑا۔
تحقیقات کا آغاز 2023 میں ایک مخبر کی اطلاع پر ہوا، جس نے بتایا کہ اسپافورڈ ہتھیاروں اور گولہ بارود ذخیرہ کر رہا ہے۔
17 دسمبر کو قانون نافذ کرنے والے اداروں اور بم ڈسپوزل اسکواڈ نے اسپافورڈ کے گھر کی تلاشی لی جہاں غیر رجسٹرڈ رائفل اور دھماکا خیز مواد پایا گیا۔ کچھ دھماکا خیز آلات پر ’مہلک‘ کا لیبل لگا ہوا تھا اور کچھ کو ایک واسکٹ میں رکھا گیا تھا۔
تکنیکی ماہرین نے زیادہ تر دھماکا خیز آلات کو موقع پر ہی تباہ کر دیا کیونکہ وہ محفوظ طور پر منتقل کرنے کے قابل نہیں تھے جبکہ کچھ آلات کو تجزیے کےلیے محفوظ کر لیا گیا۔

The American security agency FIA recovered a stockpile of improvised explosive devices from a house while conducting an operation in Virginia, while a person was also arrested from the house.
According to foreign media reports, federal prosecutors told the court that more than 150 pipe bombs and other explosive devices were found during a search of Brad Spafford’s home in northwest Norfolk in December.
This number is said to be the largest amount of explosives seized in the history of the FBI.
Most of the explosives were found in the garage next to the house, which also contained bomb-making tools and other equipment, including fuses and plastic pipes.
Moreover, some pipe bombs were found in a bag in the bedroom of the house which was completely unsecured. Spafford lived in this house with his wife and two young children.
Spafford, 36, has been charged with possessing an unregistered short-barreled rifle in violation of the National Firearms Act, while prosecutors have indicated that several other charges related to explosives may also be filed.
Spafford’s defense attorneys said authorities presented no evidence that he was planning any violence. He further said that it is not possible to consider these explosive devices as usable as professionals had to make special arrangements to detonate these devices.
The investigation began in 2023 following a tip from an informant, who said Spafford was stockpiling weapons and ammunition.
On December 17, law enforcement and a bomb disposal squad searched Spafford’s home, where an unregistered rifle and explosives were found. Some of the explosive devices were labeled ‘lethal’ and some were kept in a vest.
Technicians destroyed most of the explosive devices on the spot as they could not be moved safely while some devices were saved for analysis.
